naomi & goro is a bossa nova duo based on Joan Gilberto styled music.
naomi & goro’ s new album will cover all the songs of The Style Council’ s ‘CAFE BLEU’ released in 1984.
It is quite usual and a real joy to cover various styles of music like jazz, Italian music, Mexican music, etc. in bossa nova as Joao Gilberto or other Brazilian musicians did.
‘CAFE BLEU’ seems like a ‘compilation’ album of various genres of music in early 80’ s.
naomi & goro loves ‘CAFE BLEU’ as an album. The producer as well as the guitarist of naomi & goro, Goro Ito says “ ‘CAFE BLEU’ is one of the few albums which are worth covering".
Another naomi & goro’ s wish is that they would like listeners to listen to their upcoming album as a whole, as a musical work.
naomi & goro produces music with respect based on bossa nova. They covered 80’ s pop music such as Hall & Oats’ ‘One on One’ and Prefab Sprouts ‘The King of Rock’ n Roll’ previously .
naomi & goro says, “we want old music fans, bossa nova fans, and people who are not familiar with the original artists to listen to the music we cover as something new, and another reason why we cover music is we just want to perform wonderful music we respect”
